About Me

Hi there, welcome to my personal blog! 😃

About me
I’m Kelly (or Jiale, my Chinese name, pronounces like /Gee-ah lə/), a current master’s student at University of Washington. Before coming back to school, I worked as a machine learning engineer at Baidu, Microsoft, Disney+, with the focus on recommender system and digital advertising. My previous work covered the whole process of recommender system, including both information retrival and ranking, where I published a paper (RLNF - Reinforcement Learning based Noise Filtering for Click-Through Rate Prediction) at sigir 2021 and a patent (Training method of multi-agent model and sorting method (CN114896291A)).

About the blog
I started this blog with a clear purpose in mind: just knowing how to use machine learning models is not enough for an engineer, I need to go beyond and understand the principles of the models. Writing a blog not only gives me a deeper comprehension of these concepts, but also offers a platform where I can share this knowledge with anyone interested.

On this blog, you can expect to find my personal explanations about machine learning/deep learning models, fundamental models about click-through-rate etc. Also please feel free to comment on my posts, ask questions! Your feedback and engagement are invaluable as I continue writing.

Future plans for this blog: After updating the notes about the models, I will start implementing the models.

If you’re as passionate about machine learning as I am, I look forward to connecting with you and exploring this fascinating field together! You can always find me at kelly.hejiale@gmail.com, or connect with me via linkedin.
